Noam Benelli has just released a new open source and open science project that could help scientists in movement and behavioral ecology, entomology, agriculture, and robotics to study navigation strategies in turbulent odor plumes. Thanks to another open source project, pompy, we could create a unified simulation framework and study our navigators and their performance under varying turbulent odor plume conditions.
